
The workshop will introduce notions of Arduino and motors for the realization of a robot sound. A basic sound device that generates percussive using robotic behaviors. As a basis for percussion will be used Arduino-controlled electronic engines. Arduino is a microcontroller with an open source user community very broad and very active online documentation.

Limited to 12 people. Minimum group of 7 participants for the workshop.
If you have your own Arduino, sensors or motors bring your own. The materials used in the workshop will be on sale if the participants are needed.
Participants need no prior knowledge but are required to come with laptop.

Each participant will be given the license Mediatheque Caixa Forum (valued at € 6) to make available the contents of this section and discounts on new media art. This activity is supported by documentary Mediatheque Caixa Forum Barcelona.
Carles Gutiérrez, professor of workshops at different centers of artistic production-technological Arduino (Civic Centre Guinardo Espai Erre, Hangar, Art Deal) is also creator and researcher on digital design and development of interactive installations. He has presented his work in various renown production centers (Medialab-prado, Arteleku, Escuelab, Ars Electronica) where he participated in numerous workshops on Interactivity, doing multiple projects. Currently he is developing interactive installations in Lummo (own studio that specializes in the design and production of active spaces) and he is an artist of interactive new media, almost always focused on the sensing of his works.
