The workshop will explore the creation of robots using Arduino: control of motors, motion and behaviors. The participants do not need any previous knowledge in robotics, but it is required to come with a laptop. They will be an introduction of common motors (5v DC motors, servomotors and stepper motors) and how to control them with Arduino. Arduino is an open source microcontroller and platform that has a big community and an extensive online documentation. The workshop offers basic knowledge of electronics and Arduino that will allow participants to develop their own robotic and kinetic projects afterwards. The basics of programming for Arduino will be introduced as well. As well participants with Arduino experience are welcome and encourage to develop more complex behaviors and motions.
